3How do I save money when purchasing personal training by using my HSA or FSA funds?
Purchases made with HSA/FSA funds use pre-tax dollars, which can reduce your effective cost by up to 30% depending on your tax bracket. You’ll complete a brief health survey to determine eligibility. 4What services are eligible?
1 on 1 personal training and 2 on 1 personal training (when paid "per person") are eligible. Any service purchased at Volition Fitness must be paid for and used by the client to which the LMN was issued.
5What is a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN)?
An LMN is a document signed by a licensed medical provider stating that certain services rendered supports a specific health need. This is what makes HSA/FSA spending compliant for personal training. The LMN is valid for one year from approval date.
6Do I need to use my HSA or FSA card to purchase?
No, you make all purchases normally with the payment method of your choosing.
7How long does HSA or FSA reimbursement take?
Processing times vary by administrator, but most reimbursements are issued within a few days to a few weeks. If rejected, Truemed can assist by reviewing your LMN and helping you resubmit with the correct documentation.
