Cleaning and Disinfecting

Volition Fitness aims to set the bar higher for the gym industry by providing the utmost attention to our cleaning processes. Our facility is thoroughly cleaned twice daily (typically 1PM and 7:30PM), and all surfaces and equipment used in each session are sanitized immediately following each hour. We use hospital-grade cleaning solutions for all equipment and surfaces, including flooring. Our facility is electrostatically disinfected quarterly as well, using state-of-the-art cleaning technology typicaly seen in professional sports facilities and hospitals.

We value our clients health and safety, and want to ensure them that we are doing our very best to protect them. If our clients have any questions about our cleaning processes, or desire that surfaces be disinfected prior to use, we will happily oblige. Not only is our client safety paramount, but so is the health of our staff members. The healthier we all are, the better we can ensure our long term progress through good health.

Flooring deep extraction:

  • Flooring is vacuumed and maintained where necessary. Following vacuuming, a clean water extraction is performed with Tennant IMop XL and hard bristle brushes. After initial extraction is performed, a professional grade detergent and sanitizing solution is used for the entire floor surface with the IMop. A final pass is performed with a sealant and light brush to provide an extraordinarily clean and protected surface to train on.

Full-facility deep cleaning is performed weekly on Sundays. This deep cleaning includes the following:

  • Professional grade floor disinfection and extraction with Tennant IMop XL, the best commercial flooring cleaning machine available.
  • All surfaces cleaned and disinfected using EPA-registered disinfectants, including equipment, all vinyl surfaces, all mats, all doors (including handles and touch-points), all contact surfaces, and flooring.
  • Flooring cleaning sequence: vacuum, degreaser (where necessary), extractor cleaning (detergent w/EPA-registered disinfectant), extractor clean-water rinse, sealer (if necessary)
  • Bathroom cleaning/disinfecting (EPA-registered cleaners)
  • Sanitizing all measurement devices (including calipers/Inbody/tapes)
  • Dusting and equipment finish maintenance
  • Bar maintenance (as needed) including disinfecting
  • Window cleaning (interior/exterior)
  • Twice daily (midday and close of business) or per-hour full disinfection of equipment, using EPA-registered cleaning agents. All surfaces (including drinking fountains, water dispenser) and equipment (including handles, attachments, collars, etc.) are cleaned and disinfected.
  • Bathrooms cleaned and disinfected, restocked as needed
  • Vacuuming performed via robotics, spot treatment as necessary (floor contact reduced via mats)
  • Contact area cleaning/disinfecting, including doors, electronics, etc.
  • Restock hand sanitizer, wipes, tissues, towels, etc.
  • Trash and recycling (as needed)
  • HVAC system utilizes HEPA filtration and is regularly serviced, ducts cleaned
  • ANY used surfaces (e.g. tables, hard-backed chairs, doorknobs, light switches, phones, tablets, touch screens, remote controls, keyboards, handles, desks, toilets, sink) and equipment (including related accessories, attachments, mats, etc.) are immediately disinfected after the session. Sessions are immediately ended at 55 minutes to accommodate a 5 minute full-staff disinfecting period. If equipment is shared, disinfecting prior to another client’s utilization.
  • Bathroom and other facility checks for restocks
  • Employee hand washing and hand sanitizing
  • Client hand washing and hand sanitizing

Client Safety

Our facility is designed from the ground up to be open, inviting, and safe for all users. At full capacity, our facility houses no greater than 15 individuals on-site during any training hour. Our spacious floor-plan allows client distancing, as well as a degree of overall privacy to train in. No other facility can match our ability to train clients individually while distanced and without sacrificing equipment availability.

Our equipment and facilities are upgraded with the absolute top-of-the-line in strength and conditioning equipment. All equipment is ensured to hold up to the absolute worst punishment any athlete can dish out, while offering safety mechanisms that can potentially prevent dangerous conditions. We are also equipped with an onsite AED and first aid kit, and all trainers are certified in their use.

  • We only utilize high grade commercial equipment at Volition Fitness. All equipment is overbuilt for maximum performance and longevity, and can handle anything anyone can throw at it. Equipment is maintained frequently, with daily inspections, weekly servicing, and immediate repair should any be necessary.

  • Climate controlled to 68-72 degrees year-round.
  • Professionally maintained equipment, fire systems, and security systems.
  • ADA accessible entryways, ramps to and from differing flooring surfaces, and ADA compliant restrooms, signage, and personal care items (towels, hand sanitizer, soaps, etc).
  • Advanced security and alarm system with overnight security patrol.
  • Our staff is fully trained and certified in CPR, AED, and first aid.
  • On-site first aid kits and AED devices.
  • First aid and AED devices are regularly inspected and maintained by a professional third-party contractor.
