Frequently Asked Questions
Our free consultations are a service to our potential clients to find out if we are a great fit for their fitness goals. We seek to find out more about your goals, ambitions, and your current fitness lifestyle. With the information you provide, we determine the best path to your goals, explaining our method, our ideas for your program, and timelines to achieve your goals!
Your trainer will answer any health and fitness questions for free, including health and fitness questions that don’t relate to training with us. It’s also our opportunity to explain how we offer the best value of any personal training service in the Treasure Valley.
The consultation lasts 30 minutes to 1 hour via phone or Zoom, and we are happy to answer any questions you may have, and hopefully show you why we are the best trainers in Boise! By providing remote consultations with a virtual studio tour, we are able to offer you your first in studio session for free! (If you prefer in-person consultation, we are always happy to help and can offer that for free in lieu of a free strategy session) If you decide to work with us, be assured that you will always work with the coach you went through consultation with.
Our training sessions are 55 minute long sessions that include exercise prescription, technique coaching, nutrition planning and education, body composition assessment, and moral support. Clients can expect to have full access to top-of-the-line strength and conditioning equipment in a clean, open, and inviting atmosphere. Clients are encouraged to show up 10-15 minutes early to warm-up, and potentially stay after to work on additional resistance programming, cardio, or stretch/roll.
Exercise programming (Excel worksheets) are included for clients at 2x sessions per week or greater. For those attending 1x session a week or less, exercise programming is additional. Basic nutrition education and programming (ie, macronutrients and calorie counts) are included.
For more extensive nutrition coaching, we highly recommend our Precision Nutrition coaching program.
We’re around 10-20% less than other personal training in Boise, especially considering there are no additional membership fees, improvement fees, or hidden charges to pay.
We also offer Hybrid online and in-person programs designed to have the highest value in the industry - 100% comprehensive online programs coupled with limited in-person training.
Unlike many other training studios or large-scale corporate gyms, you can arrive 15 minutes prior to your session for warm-ups and stay after to complete the remainder of your work (cardio, additional resistance work, rolling, etc.), so an hour long session could mean up to 1.5-2 hours in studio at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE! We also offer open gym access for clients with programming at no additional fee. We offer the greatest value of ANY gym or private studio in the area, guaranteed.

Yes, we offer open gym access exclusively for our clients with programming, appointment only. For more information, visit our membership page!
We only sell session packages. There are no improvement fees, sign-up fees, consultation fees, or auto-debit contracts. Sessions are simply paid for in advance in order to book an on-going schedule for 1-on-1/2-on-1 training or to secure a spot in a group program. We offer our best pricing plans for those that commit to their health with greater session packages or multiple months for group training.
All clients are individually assessed based on their needs, goals, and experience with training. Most clients will attend 1x per week or greater, with an ideal attendance being 3x per week for most goals. We coach many clients that attend 1x per week that make excellent progress, though they will typically train on additional days on their own using our custom designed programs.
At consultation, clients will be provided to a scaled recommendation for their goals and current fitness level.
Absolutely not, though do we specialize in these sports. The grand majority of our clientele is working on their overall health and fitness, looking to lose body fat, or just get a little stronger to excel in daily life. As our competitive athletes are usually photographed more frequently, they tend to show up the most on our website and social media.
We have worked with clients as young as 6 years and others up to 80 years young!
We offer several group training options:
We offer 2-on-1 training programs, which may include up to two individuals per trainer, per session. These sessions are only offered during limited timeslots, and cost our normal 1-on-1 personal training rates plus an additional $5.00 per person, per session.
We also offer larger group training, with up to 4 clients per session. Large group training is our most affordable training option. Offered in 1-4x weekly options, with term contracts required. We will not actively group individuals, you must seek out your own group to work with!
Group options are assessed on a case-by-case basis and may be denied at any time, for any reason. Due to the equipment demands larger groups require, timeslots may be limited.
We do not offer either of these options, namely because we truly believe that far too many corners get cut in training efficiency in order to accommodate these preferences. Before considering either option, investigate whether or not the trainer or business is insured or permitted for this type of activity – in many situations, they are not!
Typically these options, while convenient or in enjoyment of the outdoors, sacrifice many of the training elements that a fully equipped facility can offer. If results are the most important outcome of training, we recommend using the tools most specific to your goal – not sacrificing for sunshine or in lieu of a little travel time.
The answer to this question depends on your goal, your level of drive and commitment, and your overall adherence and flexibility in regards to our programs. For body fat losses, a client with a high level of commitment can expect to lose 1% body fat per month. Greater losses are possible, but may not be sustainable. For clients with lower starting body fat percentages (ie, leaner clients), composition changes may be slower due to the difficultly of losing additional body fat. For clients looking to gain lean mass, predicting results are difficult.
Progress will depend on initial training state (ie, whether or not the client has trained for a long period of time, favorable adaptations, etc.), overall drive and dedication to goals, intensity and focus, and commitment to nutrition programming. With this in mind, we have seen clients add 1-3lbs. of lean mass per month that is “sustainable” (ie, assessed over long term, not “water-weight”). For endurance, strength, speed, or power based goals, individuals are assessed prior to start of training and given reasonable expectations based on those assessments during consultation.
Absolutely! Our staff has experience working with a broad range of health issues and injuries. We take a progressive, systematic approach to the individual, with direct consideration toward any impairment.
With injuries, we have successful experience working with and improving the symptoms and functionality of shoulder issues (impingement, SITS injuries, labrum tears, bicep tendinitis/tears), hip issues (piriformis syndrome, labrum tears, hip replacements), back issues (spondylosis, herniation, pelvic tilt issues, compression fractures), and far too much more to list here. We have experience with joint replacements, limb immobilization, and individual muscle group or joint exclusion.
We do not sell, nor do we market, any supplements, food programs, or products outside of the services we list on our website. We believe that all realistic goals are attainable without needing to buy these “supplemental” products. We actively encourage our clients to eat freshly prepared “whole” food and acquire the grand majority of their nutrition from these sources. Any common recommendations may include the “basics”, which may be multi-vitamins, supplemental protein products (powders, bars, etc.), or certain proven ergogenic aids vetted for the safety and efficacy.
We do sell gift certificates, however we must meet with any prospective client prior to the sale of any training sessions. This is to assess whether or not they may be able to participate in an exercise program safely and effectively, and to conduct pre-screening protocols related to these issues. Gift certificates may only be purchased for session credits, not dollar amounts, and are 100% non-refundable, non-transferable, and subject to timeslot approval and availability.
