Introducing myo-HTP, our unique and revolutionary training system for maximal muscle growth, the ultimate in fat destruction, and pinnacle of strength gains. myo-HTP is short for myofibrillar hypertrophy training protocol, a system designing to increase the size of muscle fibers and dramatically improve the amount of force production capability of the muscle. Not only does this training method increase muscle size and strength, but it unlocks the fat burning potential of the human body by more efficiently utilizing maximal motor units and muscular coordination for the ultimate in performance.
Hypertrophy is defined as the increase in size of muscle cells, which in turn leads to increased size, force production, and time to fatigue. Obviously, those looking to gain lean body mass and strength want hypertrophy to occur in their bodies. Our efficient and challenging method induces maximal hypertrophy, specifically an increase in the size of the cross-section of the individual muscle fibers by progressively forcing the body to adapt to changing and increasing stimuli. This means increasing work-load in a variety of fashions, from different repetition ranges to varying workout intensities, and demanding exercises to advanced periodization methods.
Not only do we focus only myofibrillar hypertrophy, but also sarcoplasmic hypertrophy. Sarcoplasmic hypertrophy is an increase in the amount of sarcoplasmic fluid in the muscle, which gives the appearance of large and full muscles. Neither form of hypertrophy occurs independently of each other, but varying protocols ensure that both systems can be utilized. The myo-HTP system includes targeting of both growth systems, making sure you look as strong as you feel.
Along with increased work-load comes increased soreness and need for rest. Our protocol ensures maximal utilization of rest periods and optimal nutrition programming for fast and efficient growth and recovery. This 12 week, 3 phase program will help you gain pounds of muscle, enhance your strength, and improve overall athletic conditioning and power generation.
Weeks 1-4: Strength Endurance and Sarcoplasmic Hypertrophy Training
- Introduction and development of strength training endurance and hypertrophy training. Prepares motor control system to perform movements at optimum efficiency with maximal motor unit utilization and improvements in motor learning.
Weeks 5-8: Sarcoplasmic and Myofibrillar Hypertrophy Training
- Progressive overload system begins, with external muscle growth beginning to emerge. Focus on improving muscular strength, muscle motor unit utilization and rate of fire, and introducing speed strength training.
Weeks 9-12: Peak Strength Development & Advanced Hypertrophy Training
- Extreme overload and muscle utilization, forcing adaptation and muscular growth and development. Focus on speed strength, power, overall maximal muscle strength, and advanced repetition schemes. Visible muscle growth is fully evident.
